Sindh instructs shutting of educational activities in Madrassas across the province

The Sindh government on Thursday has instructed the closure of all the religious seminaries across the province.

According to the directives issued by the provincial government, legal action will be taken against the seminary or institute fail to follow the instructions.

The notification was issued in the view of rising cases of Covid-19 infections and deaths in the province. According to stats, more than 25,000 people have reported to have covid-19 infection while more than 300 people have died due to the infection.

The Federal government had announced the closure of all educational institutes across the country from November 26 till January 11 in order to curb the spread of virus. As per the directives by the government, students will study at home and get a weekly homework till December 24. While winter vacation for the students will start from December 25. The education minister has said that the decision concerning the reopening of schools will be taken after reevaluating the coronavirus situation in the country.

Meanwhile, all examinations were postponed except the admission and recruitment tests.

Furthermore, Sindh has banned indoor dining and have allowed limited time for the opening of markets, shops, and shopping malls. However, some cities are following the strategy of smart lockdown.
