Sindh has revised its school vacation timetable for the winter break
From January 3, the Sindh government has stated that all public and private educational institutions will be closed for the winter vacation.
KARACHI: The Sindh government has stated that winter vacations will begin on January 3 in all public and private educational institutions, following the norms of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
Sindh's home department has issued a letter requesting that all public and private educational institutions in the province begin winter vacation on January 3rd.
The provincial government had previously planned a winter break from December 20 to January 1. Even before the NCOC came up with an agreed-upon date, the government announced the decision on December 9 after a meeting held by the sub-committee.
The NCOC declared on Friday [December 17] that winter vacation in academic institutions will begin on January 3, with the exception of districts affected by fog and smog.
With Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, SAPM Health Dr Faisal Sultan, and all other stakeholders in attendance, the meeting headed by NCOC chief Asad Umar examined the rescheduling of education institutions' winter vacations.
The NCOC emphasized the importance of speeding up the vaccination campaign in educational institutions, citing the fact that millions of students are still unvaccinated, implying that youngsters are vulnerable to the widespread sickness. Furthermore, the NCOC urged parents to have their children vaccinated in order to protect themselves and others
