Federal Ministry to decide today about school closure and winter vacation
The Federal government and the provincial education ministries are likely to discuss and decide about school closure and winter vacation in a joint meeting today (Thursday), Nov 5.
The meeting has been called by the federal ministry in the wake of rising Coronavirus cases and deaths in the country.

According to sources, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood will chair the meeting, while education ministers from all four provinces, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan, will join the discussion via video link.
According to reports, the ministers will review educational institutes' performance in following the standard operating procedures and guidelines issued by the government and take the decision accordingly.

On Tuesday, the minister for education again debunked the news floating on social media regarding the school closure.
"Rumors again afloat regarding school closures. It is again clarified that educational institutions are NOT being closed," tweeted Mehmood.
