Shafqat Mehmood discusses internet issues faced by students
The Ministry of Education presents recommendations to the Prime Minister and Cabinet on issues related to online education and internet connectivity that student’s experience.
It was reported by Shafqat Mehmood, Federal Minister of Education and Vocational Training while heading up a high-level meeting on the Prime Minister’s order to resolve the students ' online learning and Internet issues.

Senior officials from Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA), Ministry of Information Technology, Universal Service Fund (USF), Higher Education Commission (HEC), and Ministry of Education attended the meeting.
The conference discussed different facets of online educational problems. They also discussed the lack of internet in Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, South Balochistan, and the tribal areas. There was also a discussion about enhancing the quality of existing internet service. On this occasion, PTA, IT Ministry, and USF addressed their views on the issue and their solutions.

While issuing instructions, the Federal Minister of Education said that the process of discussion with provinces and other decision-makers on online learning issues and their solutions should be resolved as soon as possible. A report of final recommendations should be prepared, which would be submitted to the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
Mehmood said education is the government's current priority, and they won't waste a single minute resolving the educational issues.
