Saeed Ghani seals schools in Karachi for not following SOPs
Sindh Minister for Education and Labor Saeed Ghani reprimanded the school principal for not following the standard operating procedures and maintaining the poor sanitation conditions.
While paying a surprise visit to various government and private schools and colleges in the Korangi area in Karachi on Wednesday, a day after all the educational institutes reopened across the country, the minister said that he is not satisfied with the implementation of the SOPs in schools.

He directed the secretary for colleges to ensure the SOP guidelines are followed, and cleanliness and good sanitation conditions are practiced in the educational institutes.
The minister said that the teachers and parents must prevent the spread of the coronavirus by following and implementing SOP guidelines.

It is pertinent to note that At least 22 educational institutions across Pakistan have been closed in the last 48 hours due to non-compliance with health protocols or standard operating procedures (SOPs), according to the National Command Operation Center official.

Sixteen educational institutions were closed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), one in Islamabad, and five in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The educational institutions reopened on September 15 after they were closed in March due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak.
