Riphah medical college sealed after 16 cases were reported
Riphah Medical College has been sealed by authorities after more than a dozen coronavirus cases were identified during the targeted test campaign.
That was disclosed in a statement by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Tuesday, “Riphah Medical College has been sealed in the Capital after 16 cases were reported from the subject institution.”

The NCOC said that the process of contact tracing is in place to ensure containment of the virus.
After a six-month break due to the pandemic, the educational institutes were allowed to resume formal education. Though there has been a significant decrease in the number of cases, health experts expect a second wave, urging people to implement Covid-19 SOPs strictly.

In the first step, from September 15, students from class 9 and above are permitted to resume formal education. After a weekly revision of the pandemic situation, grade 6 to 8 students will be returning to school from September 23, while primary schools will be reopening from September 30, after NCOC final approval.
