Punjab’s Private Institutes Demand that Children Attend Summer School
Previously authorities advised against any sort of summer camp in Pakistan due to the extreme weather conditions.
Despite the start of the annual summer break and instruction, many private educational institutes in Lahore are giving their students no choice but to attend on-campus classes throughout their holidays.
Children are compelled to attend on-campus classes in the blistering heat, according to reports. The Lahore District Education Authority (DEA), on the other hand, has turned a blind eye to the illicit conduct.
In the last week of May, the Punjab government announced summer vacations for all public and private schools and universities in the province. Summer break began on June 1st and will end on July 31st, with the academic year beginning on the 1st of August.
It was discovered earlier this month that a significant number of private schools in Punjab were holding online classes during the summer vacations, regardless of whether or not the regular summer break was in effect.
Parents were outraged by the practise and demanded that the provincial government take stern action against private institutes that disobeyed its regulations regarding summer holidays and a ban on summer-camps.
