Punjab government to permanent all contractual teachers
The Punjab government has agreed to permanent all contract teachers from throughout the province. More than 11,000 teachers will be made permanent employees.
In this regard, the Department of Schools Education has forwarded a report to the provincial cabinet.

Along with the hiring of new educators, the new Educator hiring policy also guarantees contract teachers' regularization.
The contractual teachers hired in April 2014 and 2015, their contract had expired earlier this year, after which the Department of School Education provided them with a one-year extension on the orders of Murad Raas, Provincial Minister of Education.

Regularization took place this year in March-April when the entire government system was busy fighting the emerging pandemic of COVID-19.
However, the minister then told teachers that once the pandemic is over, they will be regularized.
