Punjab Announces Matric Result Date

The matriculation results may be made public next month, according to the Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen (PBCC).

Details indicate that the PBCC is debating whether to release the matric results on August 31. However, the official announcement of the final date would only be made after consulting with the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC).

Class 9 final examinations for all secondary school boards in Punjab began on May 26 and ended on June 10 while class 10 final exams began on May 10 and completed on May 25.

According to media sources, this year's matric exams saw more than 270,000 applicants. This year, the pupils won't have positions and will instead receive grades in place of marks.

It was announced in March of this year that the PBCC has decided to do away with the supplemental test model for matric and inter.

Supplemental tests will be replaced by biannual exams. The second annual exams will take place following the respective announcement of the matric and intermediate results, whereas the first annual exams will be conducted like regular final exams.
