Promotions without exams are out of question, HEC
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) clears the air of uncertainty among students on Thursday by issuing a strong statement regarding promotions without exams. “Promotions without exams are out of the question,” stated HEC in a press release.
While students are facing several issues, internet connectivity and the quality of online lectures are some of them. The HEC assured the students to solve the problem with the help of respective universities.

The spokesperson for HEC said in a press release that HEC was in contact with the Vice-Chancellors to resolve all such issues that students are facing. He further stated that efforts are being made to address the connectivity issues with PTA and others.
Students have been asked to inform HEC about the individual issue that HEC will try to resolve with the respective university for the fee issue raised by students.

In a meeting with VCs last month, the HEC chairman had directed the VCs to start working on resolving the issues the students faced on an urgent basis, easing the admission process, thesis research, and use and availability of laboratories. HEC has also shared guidelines with the universities and has allowed thesis defense could be conducted online.
