President Arif Alvi Links Pakistan’s Growth with Technological Advancement

According to President Dr. Arif Alvi, the country needs to make timely and wise decisions, build its institutions, and maintain a stable democracy in addition to having a favorable business climate and a strong desire to serve the nation.

On Tuesday, the president gave a speech at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology's 26th Convocation.

Dr. Alvi delivered a speech during the occasion and stated that Pakistan had all the necessary components to advance. In the face of natural and man-made crises and disasters, the people of Pakistan have often shown their resilience, and that they are capable of rising as a single nation and emerging better and stronger.

The President also added that Pakistan had welcomed millions of Afghan refugees for more than 40 years, largely with its own money, and had appropriately crushed terrorism and the Covid-19 pandemic.

If we concentrate on the development of our human resources by providing them with the most recent information, high-quality education, and contemporary skills, he thought that the days would soon come when we would see our country achieving its proper place on a global level.

President Alvi stated that local educational institutions should work to generate highly trained, knowledgeable, and competent individuals with the best possible abilities.

He also emphasized the importance of creating various training and development programmes to teach sophisticated modern technological skills to semi-educated and uneducated populations in order to provide a much-needed skilled human resource for generating wealth and prosperity through the best possible use of the vast untapped natural resources of the nation.

He urged the students to concentrate on improving their communication abilities and to concentrate their efforts on acquiring knowledge along with ethical principles, which are necessary for the growth of a healthy and happy society.
