PM Shehbaz Sharif Proposes Building Women’s University in Karachi
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the building of a women's university in Karachi.
According to the information, the federal government will collaborate with the Sindh government to develop the institution in Karachi. The provincial government will cover the costs of the land required and other concerns, while the federal government will cover the costs of building and faculty appointments. The names of three colleges, namely Khatoon-e-Pakistan Girls College, APWA Girls College, and Govt Girls College North Nazimabad, have also been recommended by the Sindh government for conversion into women's universities.
The premier urged officials to execute critical development projects such as the Karachi Circular Railway, K-4, and the formation of a women's institution on schedule during a recent visit to Karachi.
The titles of three colleges are being changed according to the recommendation of the Sindh Government, to women's universities: Khatoon-e-Pakistan Girls College, APWA Girls College, and Govt Girls College North Nazimabad.
He also paid a visit to the head office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in Bahadurabad, where he met with MQM-P leadership.
They promised to work closely with the federal government for the welfare of inhabitants, as well as the growth and progress of the province, particularly in Karachi, during the meeting.
