Peshawar: MoU Signed for Tech Scholarships
On Monday, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Peshawar for scholarships in technical education, diplomas and certificate courses for 1,230 youth from Kohat, Hangu, and Karak.
Chief Secretary Shahzad Khan Bangash attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Higher Education Regulatory Authority and the Higher Education Department. Also present on the occasion were Shahab Ali Shah, Shah Mehmood Khan, Dawood Khan, Secretary for Higher Education, and others.
According to the officials, this programme is of great importance and would cover tuition fees, books, library costs, boarding, accommodation, and stipends for eligible youth at a cost of Rs349 million for a variety of degree, diploma, and certificate courses.
As part of its mission to facilitate diploma and certificate courses in health, technology, mobile and digital skills, the Higher Education Regulatory Authority will facilitate scholars in the field. Higher Education Department scholars will be assisted in the fields of petroleum and gas engineering, energy and power engineering, and health and nursing.
Asmat Ullah and Fazal Qadir signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the Higher Education Regulatory Authority at the ceremony, while Secretary Dawood Khan and Asmat Ullah signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the Higher Education Department. In his remarks, Shahzad Khan Bangash thanked the officials of the departments responsible for providing technical education to students.
