In Lahore, a university student attempted to take her own life by jumping from the third floor.
A student at Lahore Women's University tried ending her life by jumping from the third floor of the Social Sciences Department Building.
According to Express Tribune, the girl sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Services Hospital where a team of doctors and nurses was formed to look after her.
The student was enrolled in the varsity's BS class, according to LCWU spokesman Naveed Iqbal, and her parents were notified right away following the incident.
Police officials have reported that the girl who jumped was married in Hasilpur 15 days ago but her in-laws sent her back via the bus service, alone, two days ago. After which the student was suffering from severe mental stress.
The university administration formed a five-member committee to investigate the incident further.
Police authorities have also reported that the girl has fractured both of her legs after the fall.
