In India, 9 students who failed in the exam committed suicide
As a result of failing the exam, students from classes 11 and 12 committed suicide in India. As reported in Indian media, the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate declared the 11th and 12th class results.
After 48 hours of the results being officially announced, the students took their own lives.
The exam was taken by 1 million students in grades 11 and 12. In the eleventh standard, 61% of the students passed, while 72% of the students passed in the twelfth standard.
Most of the students who committed suicide studied at reputable educational institutions in their areas, according to the report.
In an open letter to the Supreme Court of India, the Chief Justice expressed concern over the suicide of the students, saying that it is tragic and the reasons for such acts should be investigated in more depth.
