HEC alerts against individuals masquerading as 'attestation agents'
Pakistan's Higher Education Commission issued an alert to the public about people posing as "attestation agents."
"It has come to the attention of the Higher Education Commission that certain people posing as 'agents' offer to help applicants in having their degrees and transcripts attested," the HEC said.

According to the HEC, in some cases, these individuals defraud applicants by affixing fake HEC stamps or tickets to original degrees and transcripts.
If such degrees and transcripts are sent to HEC with false stamps, the documents will be confiscated, HEC warned.

"All people concerned are informed to exercise extreme caution in this regard, and to follow the specified attestation protocol rather than engaging potentially fraudulent agents," it added.
