Government enrolling freelancers in the 2nd DigiSkills programme
Through Ignite, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom has begun the second phase of the DigiSkills Training Program (DSTP 2.0), with the goal of training one million freelancers in the country. Registration for the 2nd phase's Batch-01 will begin today, January 4 and run until January 31, according to a news release from the platform.
This batch will have a total of 250,000 seats available, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. "However, if the total allocated seats are full before this date, enrollments will be closed, and no additional seats will be offered," it added.
Students that are interested in participating can register on the website. Following registration, students must ensure that they enrol in one of the two courses of their choice, as registration counts as enrollment.

For first-timers, registering for the Freelancing course is required. They have the option of choosing a second course.
In addition, past batches of learners are eligible to enrol in phase II of the training programme. Such students are free to register in any two courses they want, with the exception of the Freelancers course.
The first round of classes will begin on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022
