Government closes institutions in the capital
Due to political turmoil in the federal capital, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has stated that educational establishments in Islamabad will be closed on May 26 as well.
The FDE has announced another holiday for all public schools under its jurisdiction, in addition to the one announced on May 24.
Further details will only be provided on official social media platforms and the FDE's website, according to the notification.
The Private Schools Association had already declared that schools will be closed on the 25th and 26th of May owing to the PTI's long march from different parts of the country into Islamabad.
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi has also declared a vacation for schools and colleges in the area on May 26th, and the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has also postponed all exams for Thursday.
