Educational institutes will remain open
The Federal and provincial education ministries on Thursday decided to keep the educational institutions open as the infection rate of coronavirus in the institutions is rare ‘up to two percent’.
The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC), chaired by the federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood via a video link, reviewed the current coronavirus spread situation in the country, with educational institutions in focus.

According to reports, National Health Services Director General Dr Safi gave a detailed presentation on the current situation with regards to the second wave of COVID-19 in the country. The provincial ministers shared the infection rate of virus cases in educational institutions remains under one and two per cent rarely, “the forum is satisfied with the current COVID-19 situation in the educational institutions”, said the spokesperson.
According to the press release issued by the federal education ministry the forum unanimously ruled out closure of educational institutions.
