Education minister Murad Raas gives update on covid-19 vacination
Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas announced Monday that more than 5.6 million youngsters have been immunised in schools across the province.
The education minister noted that 91 percent of pupils in public schools and 87 percent of children in private schools had been vaccinated so far, despite a high increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the country.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has given instructions to ramp up the vaccination drive in the province, which has a 2.67 percent positive rate.

Across all circumstances, the process of giving citizens booster dosages should be ensured, he stated in a statement
He raised concern about the Omicron version causing an upsurge in coronavirus cases.
The Punjab administration, according to the chief minister, is taking all conceivable measures to protect citizens' lives.
He stated that the province administration is on high alert to cope with COVID-19.
