Dr. Ziauddin appointed Acting Vice Chancellor of Federal Urdu University
The Federal Urdu University has appointed Dr. Ziauddin to the position of Acting Vice-Chancellor.
In the 14 days it took to issue this notification, Jamia Urdu continued to operate without a vice chancellor.
On September 15, the Senate meeting chaired by President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi approved Dr. Ziauddin's appointment as Acting VC.
Dr. Athar Ata, the Permanent Vice-Chancellor of the University, resigned from his position because he wasn't prepared to come to Pakistan from Canada and wanted to run an online Jamia Urdu, which was opposed by the Ministry of Education.
