Covid-19: No decision on school closure
Islamabad: The Inter-Provincial Conference for Education unanimously decided to postpone the decision regarding educational institutes' closure till November 23.
The meeting was chaired by the Federal Minister for Education, Shafqat Mahmood, who said that the decision on the closure of the school would be taken next week after reviewing Coronavirus's situation spread in the educational institutes.

According to reports, the education ministers for all four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, attended the meeting via video link. They briefed about the coronavirus virus situation in their respective province.
The National command operation system (NCOC) also briefed the forum in detail about the country's prevailing Covid-19 condition. Moreover, the National Health Service (NHS) also discussed the pandemic's surge and advised to close schools and shift to online schooling, told our correspondent.

The forum unanimously agreed on reviewing the situation on November 23 before taking any decision of the closure of schools and early and extended winter vacations for students, said the reports.
