‘Cinemas to reopen but not schools, priorities of the government are clear’ said APPSMA

All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA) president said that “The priorities of the government are evident from its decision to reopen cinemas and theatres but not schools, on Saturday.

APPSMA President Kashif Adeeb stressed the need to resume matric classes in schools from August 17 and postpone registration date for ninth-grade students until September 30. According to official reports, the educational institutions were going through a tough time due to COVID-19 closure of schools.

He objected that the government has made clear its priorities by announcing to reopen cinemas and recreational sites and not schools. He added that APPSMA was confident about the reopening of educational activities after a substantial drop in COVID-19 cases and hoped in the government from the inter-provincial meeting of the education ministers held on August 5.

However, Adeeb grieved that the government once again thwarted the parents and academia. The government plans seem flop in pulling the private educational institutions back from the suffering they experienced during coronavirus pandemic.
