China to provide Pakistan a support of Rs. 2.048 billion for smart university project
China to provide Pakistan with unreciprocated support of Rs 2.048 billion for the completion of a smart university transformation project.
The project is part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to help Pakistan’s economic and social development. In the first phase of the pilot program, 50 public universities will be included, according to qq.com, a Chinese news website.
The project intends to create an appealing and healthy university environment by introducing enhance digital technologies in universities. The idea of this project focuses on intruding an advanced distance learning and promoting cultural progress, in this manner increasing the impact and exposure of university education.
The agreement was signed by China and Pakistan which covers a total of 124 public universities. In this regard, 400 smart classrooms including 200 classrooms in the first phase of the pilot need to be prepared.
