As Sindh gov rejects NCOC proposal, more confusion reigns
Monday was a day of great uncertainty for parents across the province, as they debated whether or not to take their children to school. Nevertheless, most schools were extremely clear about winter breaks beginning on December 20, while others were unsure on what to do or who to follow.
The issue stemmed from a recommendation from the National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) to move the vacations forward to January 3, 2022. However, on December 9, a sub-committee of the Sindh education department's steering committee confirmed the winter holiday timetable as December 20 to January 1.

However, on Friday, December 17, it was announced that all educational institutions will close for winter vacations beginning January 3rd. Following that, some false news emerged, claiming that educational institutions in Sindh had received a new notification instructing them to comply with the NCOC's judgement.
The NCOC had just proposed that the holidays begin on January 3, which Sindh rejected, according to the Chief Minister's office.
