An Important Announcement from the School Education Department
Students have been informed of an urgent announcement by the School Education Department in Punjab. A statement issued by the respective department states that it has terminated its policy of passing 100% of students, meaning that government school students will also fail the exam. A new feature has been added to the school's information system that allows students to pass or fail. Based on the results of the exam, the students will now be evaluated and awarded a number.
Children who are promoted will have their online records updated annually following the announcement of the results. Students who fail will be listed in the demote box. Previously, all students were promoted to the next class before the annual examination was conducted, regardless of how they performed.
The school education department's decision to include failure as an option for children has been hailed by many teachers. As a result of the 100% pass policy of the SED, children were uninterested in studies and did not study properly. Education department officials say the option was added due to online data available of students studying in schools across Punjab.
