A computer lab for the partially sighted has been established at the University of Peshawar
With the opening of an accessible computer lab, the University of Peshawar has taken a step forward in creating an inclusive learning environment.
Differently-abled students will be empowered to pursue their academic goals and will be able to bridge the gap between themselves and their peers through this lab.
Twenty students with visual impairments and volunteers from the Social Work Community Service Program attended the launch of the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The guest of honour was Professor Muhammad Idrees Khan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar.
The Resource Center's goal is to provide vision-impaired students with a welcoming, accessible environment where they can study and use computers that are appropriate for their needs.
In congratulating the students on the establishment of the LRC, the Vice-Chancellor extended his assistance.
As a result of the Vice Chancellor and Chairman of the Department of Social Work's support for partially sighted students, the blind action committee praised them.
