Punjab Irrigation Department and PITB sign agreements to implement an e-Library and e-Procurement System
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Punjab Irrigation Department have signed two distinct agreements. The agreements pertain to the department's deployment of an e-Procurement System and an e-Library.
The event was conducted at Arfa Software Technology Park and was presided by Punjab Irrigation Minister Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari. Secretary Irrigation Punjab Saif Anjum, Chairman PITB Azfar Manzoor, Director IT Muhammad Kashif Farooq, JD Citizen Contact Center (CCC) Ali Zeb, and other senior officials also graced the occasion.
On behalf of the PITB, DG e-Governance Sajid Latif signed both agreements, while representatives from the Punjab Irrigation Department, Chief Strategic Planning and Reform Unit (SPRU) M. Amir Khan, and Senior Research Officer Adnan Hassan signed the e-Procurement System and e-Library agreements, respectively.
According to the arrangementS, PITB will assist the department in digitising all of its data through the e-Library initiative, and the e-Procurement System will assist them by automating manual procurement processes, resulting in increased accountability, transparency, and public service delivery.
