Germany Welcomes Over 14 Thousand New Libraries
Unfortunately, as education has declined in Pakistan, so have libraries, and now there are only a few libraries left. In Germany, however, recent years have seen an increase in the trend of bibliography and reading, with public and private libraries offering quality and expensive books.
In 2019, over 9,000 public libraries were active in Germany, according to the German Statistics Database. A total of 14,300 libraries exist in Germany. The largest collection of books is in the German National Library located in Leipzig and Frankfurt. This library has over 40 million books, magazines, journals and newspapers.
In terms of total floor area, the Berlin State Library has 162,000 square meters.
Wüblingen Monastery Library, Stuttgart City Library, and the Bavarian State Library are other notable libraries in Germany.
