Overview
The Federal College of Art and Design (FCAD) was established in the year 1990-91 by the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Education. It was a long awaiting demand of the people of Sindh to have an institution of art, design and architecture to educate the people in these professional fields. The building of FCAD started to construct at Jamshoro, looking downwards to the Indus River reminding the past history. The project was initially handed-over to the University of Sindh with the status of an affiliated college. The first batch was admitted to the College in the year 1999
