US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that he is working with Pakistan to convince the Taliban to allow girls to go back to school.

According to the World News Agency, Blinken, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the US-Afghan Consultative Mechanism, praised Pakistan's role in persuading the Taliban government to open schools for girls in Afghanistan and said that Pakistan is in this matter, is our partner.

The US Secretary of State further said that apart from Pakistan, OIC, Qatar and Turkey are also helping the US in negotiating with the Taliban government to remove the barriers to girls' education.
