University students protest against on campus examinations

LAHORE: Students of private universities protest against the physical examination in front of the Governor House, blocking the Mall Road on both sides, which severely affected the traffic system. Students say that if Corona is not over yet, universities should take online exams. We are giving three days. If our demand is not accepted, we will hold a rally from Lahore Press Club to Governor House and have a sit-in.

According to details, university students protested in front of Aiwan-e-Iqbal against the examination policy. The protesting students took the position that they have been taught online for the entire semester, so the exams should also be taken online.

Hundreds of students from UMT, Lahore Garrison University, UCP, Lahore University, Namal University participated in the protest. The students protested, saying that since we have been taught online, why they aren't taking our online exams now, the university administration wants to charge fees, so physical exams are being held.

The students closed the Mall Road to traffic on both sides for more than an hour, causing severe inconvenience. After which, a five member delegation of students held a meeting with the management of Governor House. During the negotiations, the students demanded that the physical examinations be canceled after talking to the universities' vice-chancellors and would continue their protest till the vice-chancellors assured them.
