“Taleem dushman Wazir e Taleem,” Students and parents reacted after Sindh govt allows only 50% attendance

Mixed reactions of students were seen after the Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani opposed Federal Government’s decision to resume five-day in-person classes at schools from March 1.

Saeed Ghani had stated on Monday that Sindh will not allow regular classes and will go with only 50 percent attendance due to the coronavirus pandemic spread.

He added that the Federal government’s decision to allow resume regular five-day classes has "created confusion among the students."

"How will children maintain social distancing if we allow 100 % attendance?" Ghani asked "Once the pandemic ends, all children will be allowed to go to school."

Responding to the decision of Ghani, one Twitter user expressed his concern about the full school fees. He stated,

"If you want to run three day school than do it but then government should pay half fees to the schools because parents can’t afford to pay the full fees”

Tagging the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood in a Tweet and appreciating Sindh “Good decision” one of the Twitter user said that Coronavirus is lethal the kids “Don’t know what federal Minister was thinking when he announced the decision on reopening of schools”

“Please show some sanity, it’s our future we are talking here”

Another twitter user called the Sindh Education Minister as “Anti-education Minister”. She said that today Pakistan People’s Party held a Jalsa around Haideri Market “is there no coronavirus there?”

She stated that while all the wedding halls, markets, restaurants, beauty parlors, parks, there is no coronavirus except in schools
