Students continue cheating in HSSC exams
Despite the strict orders by provincial governments to tackle cheating stringently in Sindh, more cases of cheating in exams have been reported during the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Annual examinations 2021.
According to reports, as many as 215 students were caught cheating in exams at different examination centers across the province on Friday.
The Universities and Boards Department has also reported that around 46 individuals were caught taking exam in place of a registered candidate. Cases have been registered against the candidates for using the unfair means.
Sindh Universities and Boards Minister Ismail Rahu suspended eight invigilators for failing maintain the discipline and control the derelictions at the exam centers.

Moreover, the notices have been issued against the individuals for indulging in malpractice of bringing mobile phones to the exam centers. The minister has assured that strict monitoring will be conducted across the province to ensure transparent exams.
“We are committed to eliminating cheating culture in the exams,” he stated.
Earlier this week, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah showed discontentment over numerous cases of malpractices in the ongoing intermediate and matriculation examinations.
After taking charge of the education ministry last week, Shah said if a case of cheating is reported at a college during exams, the respective college principal taken to charge.

“The college principal will be penalized and be suspended if a case of cheating in the exams is reported,” he said in a meeting.
"Students will not be allowed to carry mobile phones inside exam centres," the education minister had said, emphasizing that no individual, be it teachers, staff or students, be allowed to bring mobiles to an examination centre.
