Sindh: Private schools ask parents to submit vaccination certificates
Private schools in Sindh are asking for covid-19 immunization certificates from the parents of their students following the directives of Sindh Education and Literacy Department.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah had asked parents and teachers to submit their vaccination certificates to the schools by August 30. Further, he said that schools with 100 per cent staff, teachers and parents of the students are vaccinated will be allowed to reopen next Monday.

Meanwhile, the school administrations have been soliciting parents to submit their vaccination certificates by August 28.
The provincial minister for Education Syed Sardar Ali Shah had extended the closure of schools for another week in order to give time to schools staff and parents to get vaccinated.
“Private schools said in a report that they had only 73 percent of the staff vaccinated, the government is giving extra time for teachers to get immunized and submit their vaccination certificates to the schools administration by August 30,” he said earlier this week.
DG of the School Education and Literacy Department Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui cautioned schools against reopening without 100 per cent staff and parents of students immunized.

The notification released by the department on Sunday stated:
“You are hereby directed to complete vaccination of all teaching and non-teaching, administrative staff and also complete necessary arrangements for the full implementation of the COVID-19 SOPs before the reopening of schools.”
