Sindh High Court Inquiries about Out-of-School & Under-Educated Children

In order to obtain complete information on students studying and deprived of education in Sindh, the Sindh High Court ordered the Secretary Education and the Secretary for Social Welfare to submit reports with affidavits.

In the High Court, hearings were held on petitions concerning free education, educational reform, and school security. The Secretary for Social Welfare appeared in court on this occasion.

As of yet, the Act of 2013 has not been implemented. While the government is responsible for providing free and quality education to children, government educational institutions have a poor education system.

Reforming the education sector is necessary in order to provide quality education to children.

Educational institutions in Sindh lack security and facilities, even drinking water is not available, desks are not available in classes, and most schools don't even have four walls. As a result of being deprived of the jewel of education, the court inquired how many children were currently in school and how many were not.

Accordingly, the High Court ordered Education Department and Social Welfare Department to submit comprehensive reports with affidavits by October 7th.
