Sindh bans phones inside exam centers

The Sindh government has prohibited the use of mobile phones by Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) staff, superintendents, supervisors, examiners, teachers, and students in the examination centres to thwart the attempts to leak question paper, said Nisar Khuhro, Advisor to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday.

 “There will be a complete ban on carrying and using mobile phones and or any other internet devices. Board staff, invigilators, external and internal examiners, and students will not be allowed to use the mobile phones within the examination centres premises.”

He directed the management of centres to body search the board staff and students before starting the exam.

 “If a mobile phone is found inside the centre, it will be seized,” he said

Khuhro assured that the leak of exam papers is being investigated and soon the culprits will be taken to task. “The administration and the police should strictly enforce Section 144 within the limits of the exam centres,” he instructed.

While talking about the cheating culture he said that the unfair and illegal means in exams must be eliminated by any means.
