Punjab University denies admissions to students from Sindh
Due to a shortage of money, Sindh's Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) have failed to issue intermediate examination results, jeopardizing the academic careers of provincial students.
According to reports, the University of Punjab has threatened to block admissions for students from Sindh since the provincial boards have yet to release intermediate results three months after the exams were completed.
The university has also notified students in this regard, stating that admissions for any candidates whose results were not reported before or after November 8, the last date to apply for BS (Hons) programmes, will be considered cancelled.

The Sindh education boards, on the other hand, had warned in October that due to financial difficulties, test results would be delayed.
Other BISEs in the province, including the education boards of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, and Sukkur, were experiencing a severe financial crisis, causing staff' salaries to be delayed.
The boards had made multiple requests for cash from the provincial government, according to a BISE Hyderabad official, but to no effect. He warned that unless funds were granted promptly, they would be unable to compile the results.
Students, on the other side, have called on the Sindh government to intervene and force the provincial education boards to announce their results.
