Private institutes to go against Govt's decision

Dr. Murad Raas, Punjab's Education Minister, declared last week that classes 9 to 12 would resume public and private educational institutes throughout the province.

Dr. Murad announced on Twitter that students in grades 9 through 12 would only be named Mondays and Thursdays. Since classes 1 through 8 will be vacant, students will comfortably be seated while adhering to strict SOPs.

Oppositely, Private schools and colleges in Punjab have declared that they will begin calling students in grades 9 to 12 daily as of tomorrow, defying the provincial government's order entirely.

Students and parents have protested private school and college decisions, urging the government to mandate that students in grades 9 through 12 be called only on Mondays and Thursdays.

COVID-19 infections, on the other hand, continue to grow across the world. Pakistan has recorded 5,499 Coronavirus cases and 148 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's positivity rate to 11.62 percent.

Coronavirus has resulted in 772,381 infections and 16,600 deaths in Pakistan.
