Online system launched by PPSC to prevent paper leaks
With the help of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has established a new online system to prevent paper leaks.
According to details, the previous data of questions in the PPSC system has been replaced with a new database on Punjab government guidelines.
To prevent data theft, officers and workers have been given strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) under which no one will be allowed to bring storage devices into the PPSC office.

The duty schedule for employees and officers has undergone considerable changes as well. With the help of PITB, the PPSC indicated that extra precautions would be taken to maintain privacy.
The news comes after the provincial agency in charge of competitive exams was shaken by repeated reports of paper leaks.

A Higher Education Commission (HEC) consultant, Fahad Ali, a PPSC Regional Director from Bahawalpur, Furqan Ahmed, a Junior Data Entry Operator at the PPSC, Waqar Akram, a Finance Department employee, Ghazanfar, an MPhil scholar at the University of Punjab, Gohar Ali, and another individual, Mazhar Iqbal, were among those arrested.

The accused allegedly took a bribe of Rs. 800,000 to leak each question paper, according to a PPSC official.
"The four arrested gang members revealed that they not only leaked the question papers for the tehsildar's test, but also prior papers for inspector and ACE assistant director, lecturers in chemistry, education, and other positions," the statement stated.
