New Delhi's primary schools closed due to air pollution
There was severe air pollution in the Indian capital New Delhi, resulting in the closure of primary schools.
In a press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said that since the air pollution in the capital has reached dangerous levels, primary schools will be closed from tomorrow.
Additionally, he said that the primary schools would be closed until the air pollution was reduced. This decision was made in order to prevent children from breathing unhealthy air.
Due to the burning of crop residues in Indian Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal is facing criticism for the severe increase in air pollution in Delhi and other areas. His Aam Aadmi Party also rules Indian Punjab.
