Matriculation examinations in Sindh are proposed to be held from May 17 and Inter exams from June 1

According to Express News, the Sindh Education Department has convened a meeting of the steering committee on Tuesday, February 22 to determine the dates for the new academic session 2022 and Matric and Inter examinations in the province.

The agenda of the meeting has been sent to other officials including education officers and chairman boards, according to which it has been recommended to start matriculation examinations in Sindh from Tuesday, May 17 and Inter examinations from Wednesday, June 1.

In addition, a new academic session for the entire province, 2022, is proposed to begin on August 1.

It may be mentioned that the steering committee meeting chaired by the provincial minister for education Sardar Shah will also approve the academic calendar of 2022 under which summer vacation will be from June till july and winter vacation will be from 22nd December to 31st December 2022.

Admission dates for ninth and eleventh classes and release of matriculation and entrance results will also be fixed while holidays for the year 2022 will also be sanctioned in educational institutions. According to the agenda, there has been no increase in the annual vacation of educational institutions.

Examinations from primary to class VIII are also scheduled in the first week of May, while most of the private schools with matriculation system have scheduled these examinations in April due to late convening of the steering committee meeting.
