Punjab will announce new timings for schools & colleges by next month

Due to the increased daytime during the summers, the Punjab government is considering changing the timings of schools and colleges in the state starting next month. According to sources inside the School Education Department (SED), the department has recommended that all District Education Authorities (DEAs) adjust their operating hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Next week, the respective DEAs are likely to meet to discuss the SED's proposal. If all DEAs agree to the idea, the new school and college schedules will begin on March 1st.

In preparation for the second leg of the Pakistan Super League's seventh edition, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lahore reduced the times of schools and institutions near Gaddafi Stadium earlier this month (PSL).

All public and private institutions and colleges around Gaddafi Stadium and along its path must open at 8:45 p.m. but close at 1 p.m., according to the regulations. After the PSL 7 final, normal times will be restored.
