International Islamic University Delays Exams after Students Protest
All final examinations for the Spring Semester of 2022 have been delayed at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) due to the students' determination to continue their protest.
Subsequently, all finals have been postponed and will now commence from Monday, the 13th of June, according to an official notice issued late last night by the Director Academics of IIUI.
Several IIUI students started a protest against the University Administration last week. Other entry and departure points, as well as all other departments, including the transportation section, were sealed. Final exams were expected to begin on Monday. The Director Academics first deferred the examinations planned for Monday and Tuesday due to the ongoing protest. Last night, it was decided that all exams were postponed.
A ten-point agenda has been prepared by the protesting students. They have stated that they will not stop campaigning until all of their requests are met by the university.
Members of the admin remarked that certain groups have developed a habit of interrupting the academic process each term. If the students had legitimate concerns, they should have brought them up through the appropriate route.
