HEC has issued a new list of illegitimate universities, colleges
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC) has released a new list with over 140 academic institutions that are "false, illegal, unlawful, and unrecognized."
Two of them are from Islamabad: Islamabad Law College and Hunerkada College of Visual and Performing Arts, both privately owned.
Any other organization that is not listed on the HEC's official website as a recognised university, institution, or campus(es)'may likewise be deemed non-recognised,' according to the HEC.

Students should not enrol themselves in them, according to the regulating agency, as such admissions are prohibited.
Punjab has the most fraudulent, illegal, unlawful, and unrecognised educational institutions (96), followed by Sindh (35), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (11) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (3).
Remarkably, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan are not included on the list of educational institutions.
You can access the list from the Official HEC website.
