COMSTECH organises online certification on plant tissue culture techniques
COMSTECH organized an online certification course on the topic “Basic plant tissue culture techniques” in association with International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences and Pakistan Biotechnology Information Center Karachi on Wednesday.

The course was planned to cater to the interest of scientists and research scholars working in several fields of plant biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology. The course entailed detailed lectures and hands-on training sessions “imparting an overview of plant tissue culture and its applications, equipment, and media used, explant selection, sterilization, initiation, multiplication, shooting and rooting,” reported a news agency.
Professor Dr. M Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General, COMSTECH welcomed the participants of the course and highlighted the importance of plant tissue culture techniques and their contribution to the economic development of the Muslim world.—APP
