CM lauds Abdul Wali Khan University

Chief Minister Khyber-Pakthunkhwa has commended the staff and management of Abdul Wali Khan University for obtaining a 2nd consecutive slot in both national and international rankings of universities.

According to reports, CM stated that their drive from a budget deficit varsity to surplus and massive management developments demonstrates that how higher education is growing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is unremittingly developing. Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has been graded the first in Pakistan and 157th in the world in the lately released Times Higher Education Young University Rankings-2021.

A statement said the list includes the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger. The table is created on the same 13 performance gauges as the flagship the world university rankings, but the weightings have been attuned to give fewer loads to reputation. The universities are judged across all their essential tasks - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international position to provide the most inclusive and well-adjusted judgments available. The 2021 ranking includes 475 universities, Vice-Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Prof Dr Zahoorul Haq said that the university is working hard to improve teaching quality and also research culture.
