3 Pakistani Universities in QS Top 500 List
The QS World University Rankings for 2023 include three different Pakistani Universities, with the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad topping the charts from among 1,500 universities from all over the world.
NUST Islamabad is in 334th place while Quaid-e-Azam University is in 363rd place; followed by Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) which has come in the 390th place. Out of all the universities in Pakistan, these three have been ranked among the top 500 education institutions in the world by QS.
When deciding which universities will be included in the ranking, QS takes a few things into consideration, which include the institute’s academic reputation, employer’s reputation, international faculty, faculty to student ratio, and international students.
In the QS World University Rankings for 2023, here are a few Pakistani universities which have been included in the list:
- NUST
- QAU
- PIEAS
- LUMS
- UET Lahore
- Peshawar University
- Punjab University
- Bahauddin Zakarya University
- International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI)
- Karachi University
This is the first time that three Pakistani Universities have been internationally recognized in the QS World University top 500 Rankings for the year 2023, which gives great cause to celebrate!
