Technologies for the Smart Class

A smart classroom is an artificial smart space that can automatically reconfigure itself and its resources based on user group profiles. It can be reached through a predefined schedule based on the arrival of a specific class or conference group.

It can respond automatically when staff or students arrive. Boring tasks can be automated at the beginning of a course so that teachers and students can focus on the learning process. Simple activities include a list of participants with their photos, which can improve teacher-student interaction, especially in large groups.

In the case of the smart classroom, low-cost and ubiquitous technologies are introduced that take advantage of the presence of Bluetooth-enabled personal devices, justifying the development of a context-sensitive smart classroom (CCAC) in the school.

Why smart class technologies?

There are good reasons why smart class technology should be used more widely in education. Some of them are mentioned below:

Technology and Education -

Students' learning styles change with the environment they live in. The traditional teaching style needs to be reviewed to determine whether it is appropriate to meet the needs of students' different learning styles. Several other techniques are used, namely problem based learning and peer teaching, which create additional stress for the educators during the classroom session.

Learn the paradigm shift -

Learning methods and practices evolve and improve from a pedagogical point of view. Traditional approaches to learning involve starting from scratch and processing the application, which may not cover all learning styles.

Problem Based Learning -

It involves organizing a group of students to carry out a project or solve problems. This can be achieved by applying one's knowledge and learning additional material. The educators also give them the necessary advice about the project.

The digital divide between teachers and students -

There is a digital divide between children growing up in a technological world and the elderly, who are seen as teachers who have not used current technology. Prensky defines the term digital native who has been surrounded by digital devices all his life, giving him a deep understanding of the concepts of the Internet, HTML and all kinds of multimedia technology. Teachers are known as digital immigrants who did not grow up in a digital environment and are now working hard to understand it.

Interactive Response System -

It is also known as an elective system that can be used in the classroom to allow students to answer questions from the tutor. Each student has a handheld that allows them to choose a specific answer. The standalone remote control works with wireless signals and the answering machine can be set up in the classroom using mobile phones and additional software.

Registration system -

The collection system tries to collect activities from the classroom which can then be used for assessment. This can be achieved by using display systems, which are interactive spreadsheets that can be used to record the content being presented. The audio recording can add to the information obtained, but it is necessary to ensure that the hardware and sound are synchronized during the test. Video recording from one or more cameras can be useful for making a significant amount of material available for viewing. This operation also requires precise timing with the information and sound displayed.

Interactive classroom technology -

This type of technology offers a great way to improve students' learning environment. It allows users to use technology to support different forms of learning.

Advantages of technology in education -

Education technology aims to improve education compared to what it would be without technology. Some of the benefits of using technology in education are listed below:

Easily accessible study material -

Teachers can post study materials or other important information on the course website that is useful to the student as he can study at the time and place he chooses and obtain the study materials very quickly.

Encouragement from students -

Computer-assisted instructions can be helpful in giving students immediate feedback and explaining the correct answer. Furthermore, the computer is seen as a patient and open-minded tool that can motivate students to continue studying. According to a study by James Kulik, students have more access to digital teaching and also develop positive attitudes towards computers in computerized learning.

High participation -

The study material is very useful for distance learning and also accessible to a wider target group.

It's easier to learn a topic:

There are several types of educational software designed to help children learn certain subjects, including graphics software, preschool software, and computer simulators.

Other education -

Technology in education also provides a way to focus on the active participation of students and also introduces different methods of questioning. It also promotes personalized learning programs and enhances individualized instruction.

The use of the Internet in education has had a major impact on teachers and students across the education system. The internet itself has opened up a world of possibilities for students.
