Teachers in Balochistan are granted ‘hard area allowances’
A 'Hard Area Allowance' has been approved for teachers residing in remote areas of Balochistan. A summary sent by the Education Department was approved by Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, according to reports.
Awaran, Washik, Kohlu, Musa Khel, Shirani, Dera Bugti, and Sahabpur are some of the outlying districts.
During his visit to Awaran, the Balochistan Chief Minister announced hardship allowances for teachers working in remote areas.
In order to improve education in the backward districts of the province, a hard area allowance will be provided. A hard allowance of Rs. 5000 will be paid to the teachers of BPS 9 to 15, Rs. 10 thousand to the teachers of BPS 17 and Rs. 15 thousand to the headmaster, headmistress and principal of each school.
Each District Field Education Officer will receive a monthly salary of 25 thousand rupees.
